Sierra Chapter Members,
I am happy to report that summer is over… or so I hear. Starbucks and Trader Joes brought out pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin pie ice cream. Someone just forgot to tell the weather!

Reporting for ACEC-CA, we have some wonderful news. Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 2434 into Law, preserving the ACEC Life/Health Trust. This would not have been possible without our fantastic lobby team in the capital, and all your support writing and signing letters to our legislators.
The chapter hosted its first monthly dinner engagement for the 2024-25 year. We had a nice time recounting our summers and were treated to a candid and informative presentation by Ryan Moore, PE, Assistant City Manager with the City of Sacramento. In covering the City's capital improvement projects and maintenance programs, it's clear there is a lot of work to be done, and not enough money to do it! Thank you, Ryan, for your service to the City of Sacramento, and for your steadfast partnership with consultants.
Our TopGolf fundraising event on Oct 16 is coming up, and we look forward to having Jeff Werner with the City of Elk Grove as our guest of honor and speaker. We have several gracious member firms sponsoring dinner, drinks, and two hours of golf! Thank you to our Diamond Sponsor – AECOM, Platinum Sponsor – Wood Rodgers, and our Gold Sponsors – KSN and TRC. There are more sponsorship opportunities and room for golfers. Sign up and we look forward to seeing you there!
Lastly, I am excited to announce our November event lunch event. Sierra Chapter is hosting an alternative delivery panel with public and private sector panelists. Stay tuned for more information!
Thank you for your support.
