Spring - A Time of Transition

Updated: Apr 6

Spring has sprung!
Spring has sprung!

The sweetness of spring is here. A time to enjoy peak weather and the new growth blooming on the plants and trees. Before long, we will be celebrating high school and college graduations. During these times of transition and transformation, the Sierra Chapter also celebrates and elevates the Young Professionals (YPs) in the AEC industry via our annual YP Luncheon and Forum on Aprill 22.

This signature event for the future leaders in our industry is a great opportunity for you to introduce your YP’ to ACEC and industry partners. The event sells out fast, so register today.

We Love Our Partners

Our recent ACEC/Calmentor event was a tremendous success with more than 80 registered attendees!

In addition to hearing from Greg Wong, Caltrans District 3 Deputy District Director, Program Management, who shared an interesting overview of some lesser-known projects that have had significant positive impacts on our rural communities and roadways.

We also celebrated the graduation of Calmentor protégé firms WCD Associates and Stratus Engineering Associates, LLC, along with their Mentors, TRC and Wood Rodgers.

Special thanks to Calmentor staff and steering committee member Sam Hamoud for organizing a great event!

Save the Dates

In addition to the April YP luncheon and Forum, on May 20, we will participate in Legislative Visit Day.

California Engineers and Land Surveyors will gather in Sacramento to advocate for infrastructure, our sponsored legislation, and other industry issues with state legislators. The day will conclude with an evening Legislative Reception, providing further opportunities to connect and engage with Legislators, Legislative staff, State Agency officials, and many more.

We look forward to a great night with friends and family at our annual Summer Social and Meeting of the Members on Thursday, June 18. This exclusive dining experience at Prelude Kitchen and Bar will celebrate the successes of the Sierra Chapter and observe the passing of the gavel.

Continuing our mission to support the next generation of industry leaders, this event also serves as a fundraiser for our scholarship fund program. Register today. Seats are limited.
