Dear Sierra Chapter Members
We had a wonderful time at our Past Presidents Dinner in February. A record attendance was had! In addition to 11 past presidents, we celebrated the Tim Fleming Scholarship recipients, their professors, and parents. It was also great to see our retired Executive Administrator, Debbie LoCicero. Thank you to everyone who showed up and supported our special guests!

SITES TO BE BUILT
Jerry Brown, Executive Director of Sites Reservoir Authority, provided an informative and engaging presentation on the latest updates and project status of the Sites Reservoir Project — the largest and only water storage project in California in the last 60 years.
A LOOK AHEAD
Several exciting events are quickly approaching. On March 12, the Sierra Chapter is hosting a joint event with Calmentor North Region, a Caltrans organization that pairs small businesses with large ones to help them succeed in pursuing, winning, and administering Caltrans work.
Plus, guest speaker is Sergio Aceves, Caltrans District 3 Director, will discuss the A&E contracting process and how the 2024-2028 Caltrans Strategic Plan will impact upcoming projects.

In lieu of holding our monthly meeting in April, we encourage member firms to ACEC-CA’s Legislative Visit Day. Attendees meet directly with California state legislators and legislative aids to discuss ACEC priorities and garner support for our industry’s initiatives. The California State Capital is in our backyard! Please consider registering to attend.
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Be sure to check out the 2025 Tim Fleming Memorial Scholarship winners — Aaron Pickett from Sac State and Morgan Bates from UOP.
Thank you all for your continued support of the Sierra Chapter. I look forward to seeing you at your Calmentor event this month!
