Our Annual YP Forum & Luncheon was a huge success once again.
Our moderator and chapter Secretary/Treasurer Libby Schlegel guided our panel through some thoughtful questions on impactful career moments, the power of asking for help, the value of the journey, and sage career advice that was sometimes learned the hard way.
We offer a special thanks to our panelists Rich Foley (Caltrans), Darrah Ramsbotham (TRC), Pamela Wawling (Dokken), and Claudia Wade (Sacramento County) for sharing their experiences and knowledge with our future leaders.
Additionally, congratulations to Victor Vega of University of Pacific on receiving the ACEC California Scholarship on a well-deserved achievement!
Let's Represent
One of the most valuable benefits of ACEC membership is the tremendous work the government affairs team does at the state level. Every day, they work as professional liaisons between the engineering and land surveying industry and our legislators and policy makers.
For the government affairs team to be successful, our support is needed. How do we do that? By participating in Legislative Visit Day on May 20, 2026, to show our state legislators that we are a large and valuable part of their constituency. This isn't politics; it is simply sharing with our government leaders the issues that affect our ability to deliver needed infrastructure safely and economically.

Our annual Summer Social and Meeting of the Members is set for Thursday, June 18, and looks to be a great night with friends and colleagues.
This exclusive dining experience at The Prelude Kitchen and Bar will celebrate the successes of our chapter and the passing of the gavel. It also serves as a fundraiser for our scholarship fund, continuing our mission to support the next generation of industry leaders.
